- I don't know if I mentioned it on here yet, I know I told some of you...I got into the residency programm. Looks like I will be able to start in february. Not sure yet if I will be able to stay on in this hospital but I am hoping for it. Cross your fingers for me people, I don't want to move across the country even if it's a tiny one. I should hear about this last week...uni yay!
- Doing evening and nightshifts again. Meaning I basicly won't see bf for the next month because of incompatible work times.
- Have loads of b-day/holiday/clothes/shoes/whatever shopping to do, but no time to do it *woe*
- Hee! Work! will have to cut this short and be back some other time
- Love you flist!
Danke Tom!

Current Music: Queer as Folk - season 4
- Went back to work last wednesday. After 3 days I was so knackered that I slept for 12 hours straight!
- During my out time I started watching Queer as Folk. Don't ask me why, but I did and now, predictacly, I am hooked. One of the reasons is the remarkable resemblance I noticed between 'Brian' and DTM driver Bruno Spengler. Check it out! Couldn't find a perfect pic of Bruno, but I think it shows...
- Work is pretty hard. I have so many presentations this months, it's not even funny. On top of it, I still have to come up with a case report.
- Like my Brain-sisters, I am having trouble getting into this seasons tv...even though I have to say that this weeks Bones and SPN were kinda good! I said I would give up some stuff but so far I only put Heroes on wait. I think I need the rest...
- DTM was so much fail today! I don't even want to talk about it anymore, but let's just say they've outdone themselves this time. I am really anxious for Tom Kristensens response. If this wasn't already his last season in the series I am sure this would have been the straw.
- I totally need to catch up on work around the house, but I think I am just gonna lay low this weekend and pick up next week. I really need to re-sort the wardrobe and get the summer clothes in storage. Too lazy/tired right now though.
- Alright, I am gonna kick back and watch some more tv.
- Hope you guys are all well!

Current Music: 3 days in a row - Anouk
I've been back for a week, but so swamped in work that I haven't really had the tiime to update my LJ, yet. They're really workingme hard, I have like 3 or 4 presentations to deliver in the next month! Besides that I also have to run part of the ward and start on an article that I will have to deliver if I want to be accepted for the resident programm. So yeah, back a week and in dire need of a vacation again...
Vacation was brilliant btw. At some point I will post some pics. Not now though because I still have to sort through them. One of the 'highlights' was a trip we made through the Samaria Gorge. It's the longest gorge in Europe. You start at a plateau in the nountains at about 2000 meters and then walk all the way down to the sea about 18 km further. And it's rocks and stairs all the friggin' way. Now I knew that so I did come prepaired with the walking shoes. But because my feet suck and I really should have some special inlay soles in my shoes I had a big ol' blister on my heel halfway down! So, the rest of the trip was a test of willpower, but I did make it down to the sea and going for a swim afterwards was jsut heaven.
The days after came with a bonus of muscle ache from hell!
Hah, other than it being a test of willpower it was also very very pretty as you will some time see on the pics.
Yesterday I had a fight with bf because he doesn't friggin get that it's not cool to blow the steam of the ironing iron into the bookcase. ARGH!
I have a headache and do not feel fit at all. Bf came down with a troat infection so I hope it will be mild on me. I KNOW I will get it, because I always catch things like that when they go around...
Should start on my presentation for Tuesday but I am uninspired. I know I will regret this later but I think I am gonna take it easy for now.
I watch too much tv, maybe it's because I had to catch up this week, but it almost felt like a task to watch everything. I am thinking - like R - that I might have to drop some series. Either that or save some up for like when I have a block of nightshifts. I know there's some stuff that can atleast wait, but I am such a latcher that I am not sure what I can do without.
Preparing for vacation part two at the moment. My appartment looks like a grenade exploded, but I suppose it's an - almost - organised chaos, LOL.
Friday night we came back from our visit to T and family and it was wonderfull. This visit was like way overdue, but that didn't make it any less fun. We had an awesome time just being us and driving the bf's up the wall. Who beeteedoubleyou should so date! LOL. It was amazing how well they connected for two randomly put together guys. Ofcourse they do both share the joy of living together with a third of The Brain so they have to be special. Yeah, I put special, because I am undecided! LOL.
T's little girl is such a joy to be around, too! It's amazing how great she is after the difficult start she had. Ofcourse she has amazing parents, so that helps a great deal. T I know you hate this from some people but it has to be said. And I mean it. Won't say it again either.
I will post some pictures after I come back. I don't really have the time to put them up now. R, I don't think we caught the deer in headlights on camera, but we definitely managed to make them look like it several times. The most hilarious of which, I think, was when we had T's bf turn the car around because T spotted maybe!Tom Kristensen. So we drove past there again and discovered it was just random!dude in an Audi from Ingolstadt (where the team is from). Ofcourse bfs were both clueless as to what was happening. But he did do as we demanded! ROFL.
So right now packing for the Crete part of the vacation. I will be gone for almost 2 weeks, with no interwebs, I think...After that it's gonna be back to work, so I hope I will find the time to catch up. If you need to get me in a non interwebby way and don't know how ask T. If there's other stuff I need to know but not immediately just put it in the comments.
T, I need some meteorological advice from you! I read that tuesday wednesday might be pretty good days as in mid 20 degrees? Is this correct? I have no clue what to bring, it's a good thing we're going by car so I won't have to carry all the stuff around.
Will have to finish packing after I sleep today. This is such a weird thing approaching a vacation nightshift wise...
On the upside, the nightshift countdown coincides with my Denmark countdown! *dance* So when I survive this night it's only 3 more days! YAY! I am so excited and also a little stressed about all the arrangements and the like no time to do them. But bf promised to take care of the laundry so that helps a lot!
I am a little sad that I won't be able to watch the Belgian GP this weekend. Spa is my favourite track on the calendar! Will have to convince bf to find a way to record it for me. F1 is getting less and less interesting though, so sad. Soon the only thing I'll be interested in will be Le Mans. Because with Tom Kristensen leaving DTM that won't be on my to do list anymore. Wow! I just thought of all the time that would suddnely clear on my schedule! LOL.
I hope I'll be going home in 3 and a half hours and get a good day's sleep. The weather should be getting cooler so that's not too bad!
Love you flist!
I am knee deep into my second of 3 nightshifts for this week. There seems to be a bit of a lull in patients coming to the hospital the past couple of weeks - even as I type this I am afraid I will jinx it - which makes the shifts pretty quiet. Partially this is a good thing, but on the other hand it makes them seem so much longer...
Again hoping not to jinx anything here, I am secretly planning on lying down a bit later. There's no announced patients for either the cardiology or the internal medicine at the moment and the nurses on the ER are turning off lights here LOL. Even in the house all seems to be quiet, it's a little scary.
I am gonna go buy walking shoes this week. When we're in Crete in september - wait! Did I even tell you we booked a holiday? - we're planning on making day trips walking through rocky terrain and gorges. Last year I attempted on a pair of Pumas but I can't say I can recommend it. I hope I find something suitable, because my feet are difficult.
Only 13 days to go T!! WHEEEE!! You need to tell me what I can bring you for a housewarming. I know you're gonna say I just need to bring myself, but you know I am gonna bring you something regardless. So if there's anything you want from little old Holland now's the time to tell me!
I've started watching a new tv series. It's something I tend to do while in the wastelands of a shift-block. I don't know why I don't go and re-watch some of the perfectly good series I have on DVD, but I enjoy watching new things, and the dozen of unwatched movies are too long to keep my attention. LOL I suck so much. Either way, this time I came across a series called Royal Pains and it's about a doctor who gets fired from his hospital and makes a new living doing housecalls to the rich in the Hamptons. Whereas it's completely medically incorrect at times it still makes for entertaining watching. Gosh and I so need my regular series to start back up!!
I'd rather he'd take the drivers' seat

Our favourite race driver, Tom Kristensen, has graced us all with an appearance in a tv commercial for Scandinavian Airlines!
T, I didn't manage to rip the vid from the SAS site, but I did manage to get a version with English subs.
Here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KJR6ZC0V
Here's some caps:
I love how he seems to barely be able to contain a smile in the first 2 caps. Oh, and hello, pretty jawline and blue eyes! YUM! I want to lick that jawline! And it looks like someone had a similar idea the night before this commercial was shot...why the turtleneck in the middle of summer in Monaco, Tom? :P
LOL at the franticly trying to get the safety belt on - very sensible of you Tom - and holding on to the window frame for dear life.
Aw, Tom's sleeping because apparently SAS makes you feel at home. I want to put my head on his chest!

It's about 4 guys on a bachelor party in Vegas, they don't exactly recall what happened and slowly buy surely figure it out by all kinds of weird clues they find all over the place.
Here's a little song from the movie, it's called 'What do tigers dream of':
In other news:
Been working really hard, 6 of the 7 past days basicly. Tomorrow I have another killer shift from 9 am to 10 pm. Yay, atleast they feed me for free twice! After that it's another 4 evening shifts, 2 dayshifts next weekend then a couple of nights and after that I don't even know what's next. All I know is that I am already getting kinda sick of it and I am only one week in (out of four!)
Except for some weird argument earlier about the location of one of our bikes bf has been really nice to me picking me up from the hospital whenever he can savingme having to spend more time over there than necesary. Having some time off in the daytime is not bad either. The weather was gorgeous this past week.
Hope you guys are having a better time than I am.
Robyn, love, I hope you'll be feeling better soon. *sends positive vibes*
Alright I am off to go read HBP again, or get re-acquainted with HP fanfic. Or maybe I'll watch Top Gear and True Blood first.
Work tonight, blergh. It sucks not being able to go home afterwards! Yep that's right I will be sleeping in the hospital for the next couple of weeks...
Old, but definitely not slow or tired!

Here's some pretty:
BTW, I am totally loving Tom's hair at the moment. I love it when it's slightly longer and curly. Makes me want to run my fingers through it...*dead*
Today, it's pretty cold, and rainy. This sucks because I want the weather to be good! Now I am probably gonna have to layer up over my dress and wear a pantyhose which I hate for obvious reasons. I see some blue in the sky though so I am still hoping it will be a miraculous 23 or more degrees this afternoon :o) prettyplease?
Have a nice weekend everyone!!

The race was less than spectacular, but the weekend all in was awesome and I got to speak with Tom Kristensen for a little bit wich was awesome and I am just liking this man more and more!!
I will type up the conversation and show some pics tomorrow. I am too tired now and I still have to unpack. Tomorrow's work again...*pouts*
Apparently, and because this is DTM I would almost say OFCOURSE there is some kind of wank going on at the moment, with 4 people being disqualified. I need to find out what that's all about.
Fingers crossed for Major *salutes* Tom and Audi you guys!!
T, sahweetie! I wish you were there, too!! Will miss you hugely!
The weather is going to be...well...Dutch. So I went and bought some new raingear today. Whereas rain-races are good to watch, I actually prefer a dry race when I am there in person... *shrugs* I suppose I shouldn't bitch too much. Being there is awesome.
It will be bittersweet knowin it will probably be the last time seeing Tom race the A4 in real life.
It's a party and I'll cry if I want to

I've decided to show you what my outfit for it will be. It's a dress I bought for my parent's 30 year aniversary just over a month ago and I figured it would be fine to re-use that for this wedding. There's been quite some debating about this, because bf thinks it's not suitable.
I have this little long sleeved wrap-ey thingy in dark grey to put on over it for like in church or when it gets chilly. It's on the knee length, I had bf take a pic with me in it, but I didn't like the pic so this is it. Dress and shoes.
Your thoughts?
That's the way the cookie crumbles

I am really gonna have to keep myself in check though, because I gained 6 kilograms since I don't cycle to work anymore *yikes*
The weather's been awesome here the past weeks. I am trying to enjoy it as much as possible.
Today we went shopping for clothes for a wedding we're going to in 3 weeks. I didn't get anyhting for the wedding...there wasn't anything I liked for the occasion and I have a perfectly good dress hanging in the closet. Thing is that bf seems to be having a problem with it...boys...
Bf got a new dress suit and he looks really hot in it! YAY
I don't have much else...been working hard all week, so not much time for anyhting else.
